Vibration Analysis & Diagnostics
Various techniques are employed in order to make the proper machine condition diagnostics including statistical narrowband spectral alarms envelopes, high frequency demodulation, time waveform analysis, high and low frequency spectral analysis.

With routine inspections, changes in the machine’s condition will be detected and trended. Severity of faults will also be trended every inspection. Failure rates can be established as more information about the machine and how it responds to the different dynamic forces around it is gathered over time. Inspection interval can be adjusted, if needed, after a good baseline is established. Mid-routine or emergency test is done as needed.
|1. Machine is prepared for inspection. This includes identifying test locations and attaching vibration pucks on machine surface for vibration test consistency.2. Machine identification is established in the ExpertAlert software. Vibration settings are programmed. Machine groupings are done, if applicable.3. Initial vibration test data is collected and analyzed. Comparison method is employed, if applicable.4. Ultrasound PdM test on a machine is also done, if applicable, in addition to vibration analysis test.5. Diagnostics are trended and categorized based on condition severity level.6. Findings and recommendations are submitted.
7. Test is repeated based on a pre-scheduled vibration test interval. Emergency test is done, if needed.
